Threes & Fours

Canton’s Premier Childcare Program

At Cherokee Academy at Clayton, we believe that there is a huge difference socially and emotionally between younger threes and those who are nearer to age four. This is why we divide these children into two classes. With the nurturing and support of our consistent teachers, your child will become more emotionally secure and independent.

Our program is designed to inspire and engage young minds through fun and engaging arts, songs, storytelling, and group activities. While further refining their gross motor skills, your children will begin to learn foundational classroom concepts like sharing and cooperation. Georgia Pre-K

Our classrooms

Our classrooms are organized with learning centers for each child to explore at their own pace. The daily routines and lesson plans help prepare your child for pre-K and the future. At this age children are beginning to learn about themselves and how to relate to adults and other children.

Through play they learn about getting along with others and how to solve interpersonal conflicts. At first, they play alone, then side-by-side with other children and, finally, together with them. You’ll see your child develop and progress as they grow more confident in social interactions and guided activities.

Help your children express themselves

When encouraged to do so, young children express themselves creatively through language, art, music, and dramatic play.

At Cherokee Academy at Clayton, we foster a love of learning through educational activities, songs, art projects and child-chosen centers that feel like playtime but are progressing their cognitive and critical thinking skills while encouraging more positive social interactions with others.
