Our story
Julia and Mike Cato are the owner-operators of Cherokee Academy at Clayton, Inc. Being parents and grandparents, they understand the value of loving, nurturing, and educating children. The Catos have over 20 years of experience working in local youth athletics programs and, in 2004, decided that purchasing a child care center would be a great way to stay involved with young children. At Cherokee Academy at Clayton, our experienced teachers and support staff are dedicated to providing a safe, warm, and loving environment for all of our children.
Your child will learn through play and you will see them confidently grow not only in their knowledge but also in their social skills. Each class uses age-appropriate, creative curriculum which allows continuity in all classes and especially prepares four-year-olds for the transition to the Georgia Lottery-funded pre-K program.
